Promotion to Eat More Local Fruits and Photography Festival, 10th July 2010,
at D-Paradise Tropical Fruit World and Aboriginal Native Village, Malacca”

Malacca, Saturday July 10, 2010

D-Paradise Tropical Fruit World & Aboriginal Native Village, an established eco-agro tourism spot located in Brisu, Malacca organized a Durian Party as well as a photography contest on this day.

The main objectives of the event were to promote awareness amongst Malaysians on the various types and the rich source of vitamins and minerals that our local tropical fruits contain whereas the contest serves to promote the photography industry and provide a platform for amateur and professional photographers to further hone and exchange their skills and knowledge. In this regard, nine (9) beautiful Malaysian models were specially chosen for this purpose.

Response to the photography contest was overwhelming with more than 30 professionals as well as amateurs photographers congregated at D-Paradise to shoot the various the models in various poses and locations within DParadise.

From the hundreds of photographs submitted to the contest, the following photograph (left) was judged the overall winner and the winner was awarded a 3 Days 2 Nights stay at the exclusive Camp David Island at D-Paradise worth RM1,238.

Following the success of the above event, D-Paradise plans to organize similar events on a yearly basis to complement the State as well as the Federal Government’s efforts to increase tourists’ arrivals to the historical state of Malacca and to enhance Malaysia’s image as a global tourist destination.
